For the people of tech

A non-profit, collaborative community platform, accessible to anyone, anywhere in the global ICT sector.

About Us

Non-profit
People First
Global Network

Irish Tech Society is a unique, non-profit organisation. Whilst recognising the power of technology in transforming our lives and our society, we focus on the people who innovate, develop, and ultimately benefit from those technologies.

Our Mission

To offer leadership, guidance, continuous learning and professional development opportunities to all individuals in the tech sector worldwide.

Our Vision

Irish Tech Society will be known as the primary point of contact for support and opportunities in the global tech sector, by the year 2025.
What we Do

Project '25

Project 25 is a unique program with an ambitious agenda to play a pivotal role in the future of the ICT sector and its talent base.

Recent studies show that the demand for critical skills in the sector is accelerating at a pace which the current talent pipeline can’t seem to keep up with. Our people first ideology and collaborative environment enable us to bring together, address and offer practical solutions to the challenges faced by the tech talent community. As a result, creating an environment ideal to incubate and nurture a constant stream of top-notch tech talent to supply and satisfy the ever-increasing demand for critical skills in the global tech sector.

Home to the top twenty global technology firms and a collaborative ecosystem where industry and academics work together, Ireland is already known as the data capital and the heart of ICT in Europe. With the shortest sea route distance between the US and EU, the country is also known as one of the tech capitals of the world. This is why we believe that Ireland has the perfect geographical location and the ideal economy to build a global talent incubation powerhouse.

Researching and collaborating with academics, brand partners and peers in the sector, we have developed a unique 7 step strategy for Project ‘25.

We work closely with public and private bodies to find individuals with an enthusiasm for tech through awareness programs, campaigns and events. We aim to work with individuals from all academic backgrounds and of all ages. Diversity and inclusion are one of the main pillars of Irish Tech Society.

We collaborate with various industry partners and start-ups to provide free mentorship and shadowing opportunities. We give tech enthusiasts an opportunity to observe the work life of a tech professional and evaluate for themselves whether or not it is for them.

Fast-tracked, and certified learning opportunities will be given to those who wish to continue the journey. Each student learns through live interactive lessons in a hybrid classroom, provided by experienced lecturers.

Practical experience is as important as theoretical knowledge. It is a vital step in incubating critical skills. We also strongly believe in the ‘earn while you learn’ principle. By providing tech development services at zero-profit rates to organisations with limited funding, we aim to create paid, meaningful, and in-house work experience opportunities for our members.

The next step is for our job centre to get them industry ready. We organise various workshops on career branding, CV and cover letter writing, interview skills, organisational psychology and mock interviews. Regular networking events are also organised for jobseekers, recruiters and potential employers to bridge the gap between skills and opportunities.

Our job centre bridges the gap between tech talent and career opportunities. We find job placements that best suit each individual with our trusted network of reputable employers in the sector. As a result, employers are given faster access to the critically skilled talent pool we have incubated.

We offer continuous support by maintaining consistent communication with both the talent and their employers to ensure that both sides are happy. Our members will still have access to continuous learning opportunities and guidance to ensure optimum growth and development in their careers.
